Storage Drives

Computers and laptops contain a fixed means of storing permanent data. This is either a hard drive with rotating platters or a solid state drive with chips that will store all of your sensitive information. Many machines contain multiple storage drives.

How We Protect Your Data

• From pickup or dropoff, your items are kept locked away from potential data thieves.
• Storage drives are removed from items by trained, background checked, video surveillanced staff.
• Reusable storage drives are sanitized according to the Department of Defense code 5220.22M. This is a seven pass sector by sector overwrite process, making it impossible for any information to be retrieved.
• Non-reusable storage drives are shredded and responsibly recycled according to R2 guidelines.
